Ten SIM members attended a great meeting at the Edward M Kennedy
Institute of the US Senate on Tuesday, November 9th!
We spent two+ hours learning things again or new things we never knew
about the US Senate. Little tidbits of history about Senators and the
Senate itself. We sat in the exact replica of the Senate Chamber and
we debated a voting rights bill currently under debate in Washington.
We toured a reproduction of Ted’s office with the exact books he kept
nearby. We completed the meeting by dining at a great restaurant,
Abbey Park in Milton.
Our next meeting is April 12th when we will listen to Stephen
Kurkjian, author of Master Thieves, share the real story of the
great art theft at the Gardner Museum. Come join us!
