Cloud / Hybrid Cloud Deployments We will be exploring how to plan for and manage cloud infrastructure and services with invited experts from this space. We will explore such questions as: What makes sense to run in the cloud and what doesn't? How do you plan for migration? How do you staff for cloud management? How do you track and manage cost? Speakers: Lex Crosett, Enterprise Technologist Lex has been working with enterprise customers of Amazon Web Services since 2015. Prior to joining the company, Lex was an AWS customer in IT and software development leadership roles, and has been using AWS services since 2010. Most recently, Lex was EVP Software & Services at Conservation Services Group, Inc. prior to its sale to CLEAResult, Inc., an energy-efficiency services company. Prior to CSG, Lex was Chief Information Officer and Vice President at Earth Networks, operator of the WeatherBug brand of web and mobile properties and a worldwide atmospheric sensor network. Both companies made large scale all-in migrations to the AWS cloud. Lex has served in executive business and technology management positions at start-ups (Lotus Development, CMGi/, and was part of a team that executed a successful public company turnaround (Banyan Systems, sold to Unisys). He worked in the venture capital industry (Purepay Capital), and has managed technology teams at several high growth companies. Corey Roberts, Chief Information Officer Corey is responsible for defining Daymark's strategic technology direction. Corey has 23 years of experience architecting, deploying and managing complex data center infrastructure. He has in-depth technical expertise in leading data protection, virtualization and cloud technologies and has many years of experience deploying multi-vendor solutions in customer data centers. Prior to joining Daymark in 2008, Corey was the senior systems engineer for Varian Semiconductor. Sean Gilbride, Chief Technology Officer Sean is focused on setting Daymark's technology strategy and enabling clients to adopt the latest cloud and hybrid data center solutions. With more than 22 years of experience in information technology, Sean has extensive experience evaluating and implementing complex technology solutions in enterprise environments. Prior to joining Daymark in 2008, Sean held a variety of senior engineering and IT management positions at Wellington Management, Access International and Vicor Corporation. Zehra Syeda-Sarwat, AWS Leader Customer Solutions Zehra Syeda-Sarwat leads the Customer Solution Managers team, focused on helping global enterprise customers develop and execute a holistic digital transformation strategy, that integrates technology across all areas of the business, accelerates innovation and delivers expected business value. Zehra joined AWS in 2017 and subsequently developed unique mechanisms that strategically accelerate enterprise transformation leveraging technology adoption, people transformation, and process excellence. With over 20 years of hands on experience in Technology, Advisory and Leadership Zehra offers a proven track record of helping enterprise executives bridge business and IT to deliver concrete results while enabling business agility downstream. In addition to her existing role at AWS, Zehra is the founder of WiWWCO (Women in World Wide Commercial Ops), an AWS grassroots effort dedicated to increasing gender diversity in technology. Prior to AWS Zehra led Americas and EMEA Project Delivery at Fujitsu Consulting Inc. and Technology Change Management at IBM.
