SIM Boston Member Spotlight - Ian Pitt of LogMeIn

SIM Boston asked member Ian Pitt from LogMeIn how his company is helping to address the current crisis, this is what he shared:

First and foremost, to ensure the health and safety of our employees, our company has moved to a full remote work model during this COVID-19 crisis. We recognize that this crisis has significantly accelerated the pace at which many other organizations have been pushed to embrace remote work, and many were not technologically equipped for this dramatic shift. To help manage this transition, LogMeIn has been offering free Emergency Remote Work Kits for Health Care Providers, Educational Institutions, Municipalities & Non-Profit Organizations. These kits include solutions for meetings and video conferencing, webinars and virtual events, IT support and management of remote employee devices and apps, as well as remote access to devices in multiple locations. Additionally, we are allowing current LogMeIn customers to expand their agreements with us to include GoToMeeting, GoToWebinar and other tools to cover their entire employee population at no additional cost to their current subscription.

We also know that remote work may be unchartered territory for many organizations around the globe, so we have also been offering guidance on how to successfully work from home for employees, managers and IT teams. This includes tips and best practices on security, remote access, communication, health and wellness and communication.
